After about 8 months of waiting for it, the day has come! Jeanette Lynton's new digital scrapbooking program is available to you. The best part about it-- the program itself is FREE! You can play around all you want with your uploaded photos using CTMH papers, embellishments, and My Stickease for FREE. For more details, click here. You will find FAQs and pricing information.
In order to get started, you will need to create an account on my website. If you have already ordered online from my website, you will simply use that same account information. If you're not ready to create an account, click here and try it without that.
I have played around with it and have to say that it is quite fun. I enjoy using it as a design example for my traditional scrapbooking. I upload photos I want to use, choose which paper pack, and then choose which layout pattern. Studio J will then give me 6 choices with that particular layout using different papers from that pack. It was a lot of fun!
I think I will always be a traditional scrapbooker, but Studio J will be JUST RIGHT for those of you who enjoy going digital. Especially because of the ease of it all.

The Middle Child
I officially have 2 middle children now-- Joel and Silas, but I really consider Silas the baby still since there's such a huge gap between he and Lincoln. I think I have 2 babies, not two middles. Anyway. You've heard about middle children, right? You have a middle child, right? They are just different in every way. I just don't know how to parent this child. He is a walking oxymoron. Sometimes he's super-sensitive, sometimes he's red-hot angry! Sometimes he's sweet as can be and loveable and sometimes he's saying that we hate him and he hates us. What gives? How do you deal with your middle child? GIVE ME SOME ADVICE!
On another note, the pasta I made this past weekend was Dee-lish! It wasn't the Cajun Chicken Pasta I had planned on making. I chose Pastor Ryan's Pasta Carbonara instead. It tasted just like something you'd get from Olive Garden. My sauce texture was a little off though.
I did make the Cajun Chicken pasta. It did NOT look like the photo, but it really tasted pretty good. Even my husband said he liked it. So I will try that again and try to perfect it. The photo just looks so good!

Time Away
Today I'm off for my annual trip with my mom, cousin, and aunt. We try to spend an entire weekend away in a bed and breakfast. I always look forward to these trips. This year, we're off to Fort Scott, KS. I'm not sure that there's a whole lot to do there, but the place we're staying looks AMAZING. It's called the Lions Twin Mansions. We're getting a whole house to ourselves (we're paying pretty good for it too). We're planning on scrapbooking and also maybe some garage-saling.
My aunt is cooking one meal and I'm cooking Cajun Chicken Pasta. It's a recipe from The Pioneer Woman.... who I secretly wish I was. Okay, not so secretly. I tried it yesterday and it was pretty de-lish, but the photo is hers, not mine, and let me just say that mine looked nothing like this.
I am taking a NEW Summer Workshop Kit with me to scrapbook-- Splendor. When I saw this paper pack, I was a little unsure about it. Until I got the kit in my hands and I love it. It's got outdoorsy colors in it-- Goldrush, Heavenly Blue, Moonstruck, Topiary. The possibilities for this kit are endless.
I'm also working on some cute things for my crop attendees. I am so excited for that. I have lots of work to do and only 2 weeks to get it done. This year, I have 9 confirmed so far. I haven't decided what I'm serving for the meal either. If you post an idea to this blog post, I'll put you in a drawing for the new Splendor Designer Brads. I wish I could show you a picture.... but you have to wait until May to see the new Summer products in the Summer Idea Book.

Cherry-O
Just a sneak peek at my favorite new products in the Summer Idea Book. The paper is called Cherry-O. I absolutely ADORE it!
My man in brown is set to arrive this afternoon around 1pm. He is bringing me the Cherry-O Workshop Kit and I can't wait! Don't bother me this afternoon....I'm not answering the door or the phone...
Would it be a bad thing to get a babysitter just so I can scrapbook? Oh, and um...I have laundry to put away, a kitchen to clean up, and a floor to mop. But only if I finish scrapbooking. :)

My 32nd Birthday
They may look sweet.... So my birthday was on Saturday. I thought it would be great to take the kids miniature golfing. After all, our oldest is 9 1/2 and we'd never gone. So after the Easter Egg Hunt, which wasn't "lame to the power of 100" like last year (according to Addie), we loaded up and went to Topeka.
I got to choose my restaurant. Now, before I tell you what I chose, let me explain a little bit. When we moved closet to Manhattan, I visited this restaurant once... before it shut down completely. I was devastated! So, in Manhattan, my choice would be Famous Dave's, hands-down (until Olive Garden is finished being built, then it will be a toss up). Every time I'm in Topeka for lunch, I stop at this one particular restaurant. So I was wavering between Famous Dave's and my other restaurant. Much to my husband's chagrin, I chose my other restaurant-- Long John Silver's. The food is greasy and MAGNIFICENT! But is it just me, or is EVERY LJS dirty as can be? I much prefer the drive-thru for this reason, but I didn't want a family of 6 eating LJS in the van, so we went in. It was a great birthday meal... and less expensive than my other choice, so what's Steven complaining about?
After lunch, we headed to Sport Center for some goony golf. First, I'm not sure why Steven and I thought we could play along with 3 kids and a baby in a stroller. My game was wasted on hole 4 when I had to hold Lincoln and push an empty stroller. Then, because there were people behind us, we rushed the kids through. Addie was frustrated because she was playing golf with a great big swing and not getting the ball in....ever. But Joel and Silas had a great time. Joel was outside in sunshine and getting exercise...enough said.
And to torture ourselves even more, we went to the mall....with 4 kids, the day before Easter. And the most frustrating thing was that my husband was the biggest problem. We argued over what shirt and tie he should wear for easter. He wanted gray or dark blue. But he already HAS gray and dark blue, so why spend more money on the same shirt? I almost cried out of frustration! Except that I found a $15 dress and I forced him to buy a bluish shirt and tie. I told him this opened up endless possibilities now that he wore a new color.
Now, I will save Easter for another day.
