I always check the Mojo Monday blog to see what sketch they've come up with for the week. This is not the first time I've tried their sketch, but it is the first time I'm posting it! This sketch looked like a no-fuss solution for my brother's birthday card.
I used all Close To My Heart products, of course! I used paper from Veranda (retired) and Olivia. Cardstock used was textured Desert Sand, regular Desert Sand, Cocoa, and Colonial White. The stamp set used for Happy Birthday is Express Postage (retired). The fleur or crest image (don't really know what to call it) is from the Lucky Workshop Kit. I think I'll use that stamp set a lot.
I also used the Kraft Color Ready Borders. I LOVE this new product. For only $5.95, you get 50 borders in many different shapes. Each border is 12x12 inches long. You will want to buy some of these in case they retire anytime soon.
Also, don't forget to see my previous post about the Hope for Japan Exclusive stamp set. All proceeds will go to the American Red Cross to benefit relief efforts in Japan.

April's Workshops
Lucky is one of my favorite paper packs. I think just about anything could be scrapbooked on these papers. The colors in this kit are Outdoor Denim, Olive, Sunset, and Desert Sand.
I created these projects using the Lucky Workshop Kit. The kit includes Wooden Buttons, Natural Hemp, an Instruction Brochure, a Level 2 paper pack, and an exclusive stamp set (which I LOVE). One friend made a comment that one of the images on the stamp set resembled the Boy Scout insignia. You can see the stamp set here.
So join me at one of my upcoming workshops in April to put together three 2-page layouts or a set of 6 cards-- or both!

Valentine Layout
I can't remember what paper this layout is from, but I remember where I bought it....Paper Dreams! When I was vendoring at the Crop4Kids in Lindsborg, I took a mini album class, taught by the lovely Laura. I created this layout with all the extra goodies I received from that class.
The layout design is from Studio J. I don't do digital scrapbooking, but I sometimes do use Studio J to "preview" what my layouts would look like before I go to work of creating them. It's a handy-dandy tool for that. I like to see how certain papers look together before I cut into them.

The Best Blocks Around
The newest CTMH special is one I've never seen them do in the 6 years of being a customer/consultant. Through the month of March only, if you spend $25 on stamps, you get a FREE block. CTMH will let you choose from a 3" x 3" and 2" x 6 1/2" block. These are 2 of the most popular block sizes, too.
I have seen some of the "other" blocks. They don't have ridges where your fingers can grip the block and they aren't as thick as Close To My Heart's. Our blocks also have the size etched right onto the block so you never forget which size it is. There is also a line on the block, towards the bottom, so that you can easily line up a title or a border stamp.
Read the details here.
